Company History

Accent Consulting was established in January of 2003 with the goal to create a reliable computer consulting company. Based out of Lafayette, Indiana Brian Higgins and Phil Wright had worked many technical jobs where service and customer satisfaction were not priorities. In efforts to utilize their knowledge with a competitive edge, quality customer service became the primary focus and Accent Consulting was born.

After a year in business with rapid growth by referrals alone it became clear our standards and practices were working. Accent Consulting formalized its legal entity to Accent Consulting Services, LLC in June of 2004. A few months later the Indianapolis office opened in an effort to expand computer services into the Indianapolis market. With moderate growth in the Indianapolis area and countless miles on the road traveling from Indianapolis to Lafayette it became clear an office in Lafayette would serve the majority of our clientele better.

In November of 2004 Accent opened its Lafayette Office and hired its first full-time technician.

Accent joined the Indiana BBB (Better Business Bureau) in February of 2005.

March 2007 brought Accent its first Microsoft achievement, after six months of work on a development project our application became Certified for Microsoft Vista. August brought more recognition when Accent was awarded the Microsoft Certified Partner status with a Competencies and Specializations in ISV/Software Solutions.

In April 2008 Accent achieved the highest level of achievement from Microsoft which is Gold Certified Partner status. Accent also earned the Microsoft’s Networking Infrastructure Competency. This confirms Accent’s expertise in network design, implementation, management and support. This competency tests Accent’s knowledge in the Windows Server Solution environments including Server 2003 and Small Business Server 2003.

By March 2009 Accent had outgrown its downtown office, and relocated to a new, larger office on the east side of Lafayette

Over the years Accent Consulting Services has built up a clientele of over two hundred businesses in the U.S. Most are located in central Indiana and are a part of the construction, real estate, manufacturing, agricultural, financial and law professions. Accent actively remotely supports IT infrastructure in 12 states.
